A few weeks of thedarkside.hk
Reaching more than a thousand Twitter followers today, we felt it was time to take a step back and evaluate. Despite our very short period of existence, we have been shown a lot of love already. Especially by our female readers. Not too surprising perhaps, as we all know that the ladies in HK are a naughty bunch. Still, a big hurray for our likely to be bored female readership. Check out a small selection of encouraging remarks by Tweeters Trish Y, Tina V, April Kam, Abby Waldorf, Riaad van der Merwe, Jamie S, HKFashionGeek and Phoebe Ho. And of course we must not forget some of the comments on the posts by our hottest and most disturbed team member, Kitty Cougar.
However, what’s of course a helluva lot more fun is to provide you with a peak into the slightly less positive responses our little project has invoked:
1-4-2009: A *cough* well written e-mail by an angry Filipino ‘teacher’, whose genius led him/her to believe Chip Tsao was writing for us. Sorry to disappoint you BS!
7-4-2009: Our world falls apart due to expat-blog.com’s rejection.
8-4-2009: Subtle death wish by commenter John White
13-5-2009: Sham-Shui Po Boy (founder of www.hong-kong-blogs-review.com) deletes our review. Apparently our remarks in this post upset him a bit. The old review page (on which we were originally described as a non-serious, gossip blog) is now supposed to scare the shit out of our visitors. Keep it up boy!
14-5-2009: Frank thinks we’re gross, judging from his comment here.
18-5-2009: Smarty pants Gary Soup thinks we wrote ‘Donald Tsang, Please Die’. We wish Gary!
18-5-2009: Gary Soup again, this time to give us a reward. W00t!
22-5-2009: Kay Ross is honored to receive praise for her brilliant acting in Episode II of Langham Hotels’ Big Deal promo.
22-5-3009: Another bitchslap by Gary Soup. We lack humor! So harsh Gary. Sniff.
We hereby want to thank all readers for checking out the site and supporting us. A special ‘thank you’ however goes out to the John Whites and Gary Soups of this planet. You’re the ones who make it truly worthwhile. M’goi!
