Ketamine is soooo 2009
The drug Ketamine was certainly top of mind last year. But as the Standard reports today about some F-list model getting caught, we at The Dark Side have officially grown tired of stories involving this drug. Hence, we will fulfill our civic duty and help combat this terrible nuisance… by putting together a list of alternative substances that are available in huge quantities in China and Hong Kong – if you have the right permits and licenses of course. And that’s nothing a good ol’ bribe can’t fix. Interestingly enough, possession of most of the below substances will not get you arrested (as of 06/01/2009) according to our fair city’s list of chemical no-nos.
Before we go any further though, we would just like to clarify that we are a) not lawyers and b) not chemists. We might be talking complete bullshit, and some of these may be included in laws that prohibit entire classes of chemical, so do your own homework before setting up that new venture. You may blame the government for having to resort to these measures. Oh, and we should add that you’ll be bodysearched when flying to the U.S. from now on, so make sure not to be trafficking yourself. Here goes:
A relative of Methcathinone, which definitely IS illegal in Hong Kong, Mephedrone has similar effects to ecstasy and was until recently used as the active ingredient in many “legal high” pills. It is currently banned in Denmark, Finland, Israel, Sweden with the UK and Germany putting laws in the works to have it made illegal. You can buy it locally in bulk from these guys – Some even offer a free samples.
By far the most fun to say out loud, Flephedrone has similar effects to Mephedrone and is illegal in Denmark. If you want some, these are the people to talk to.
Otherwise known as BZP, it is not unlike the infinitely more illegal drug Amphetamine. BZP’s sale is banned in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, yet strangely you can buy it from Singapore and, of course, our cousins to the North.
Famously used in the production of the illegal drug Methamphetamine (“Ice” if you’re a local). This stuff will keep you buzzing for days on end and is a controlled substance in the US, the UK, The Netherlands, South Africa, Germany and Finland. You can purchase metric assloads of it from over the border and have them delivered straight to your mid-levels meth lab apartment.
Works in a very similar way to Valium, on “high potential for abuse” and “with written prescription only” lists all over the world except you can get it from just about any pharmacy in Hong Kong if you ask nicely enough.
